I have been working with booking.com for over 5 years, this is the first time I have posted on the forum. Prior to this I have tried to get change through all the other avenues at booking.com including account mgt, writing letters, calling top management, filling in surveys etc. I have not been successful, so now I thought I would try it through this forum. If I did not get a positive ROI, I would move on. But it could be much, much better.
I have 49% unconverted rate of Booking.Com bookings due to guests not realizing or seeing the small "?" to click on that they will be charged right after booking. Booking.com should make this more prominent on the listing to avoid this. It is a complete waste of the guest, our time and all the in-between resources for this poor conversion rate. The other channels that we market on have a conversion rate between 75 - 100% because it clearly shows they will be charged at booking on those sites. Obviously from all the other comments this is a problem that needs to be solved.
P.S. The pre-validation that Booking.com tries to do, only works half the time.
