Yes removing the anonymous option will ultimately benefit guests as owners/managers may be able to take action, knowing the guest and therefore which room, servive or staff member may need attention.
My understanding is you can only charge a virtual card on the ARRIVAL date of the guests or sometime after, not on the date of booking unless the booking and arrival date are the same.
We always ask for a non refundable deposit equal to the first nights stay. This may put some people off but we get very few cancellations.
