In a new campaign, Booking.com invites American travellers to reconnect with international cultures closer to home

With a mission to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, Booking.com is showcasing America's cultural diversity in a new campaign. As a way to experience international cultures that might not be possible to travel to this year, but exist within America's borders, the campaign encourages travellers to book a stay featured on its 'America Is For Everyone' list.

While international travel is limited, the list highlights 10 culturally rich destinations and properties in the US that celebrate diverse cultures and communities around the world. The destinations include partners in Little Ethiopia in Silver Spring, Maryland; Germantown in Frankenmuth, Michigan; the Vietnamese area of Factors Row in New Orleans; Greektown in Tarpon Springs, Florida; Little Haiti in Miami; the Dutch neighbourhood of Oak Harbor, Washington; Little India in Jersey City, New Jersey; the Mexican Cultural District in Denver; the Danish Village in Solvang, California; and the Japanese area of Honolulu.

The list of featured properties includes everything from traditional Dutch and Danish inns to modern hotels and converted lofts. All of the experiences offered come with a custom designed and safety-first itinerary so guests can enjoy authentic meals, historical tours and more. These stays are available for customers to book exclusively on Booking.com starting on November 16, 2020 at 12:00PM EST, for a two-night stay, November 20-21, 2020. We will be offering the stays for US$50 - to represent the unity of the 50 states - for the entire weekend.

“Diversity has been a pillar of Booking.com’s culture from the day our company was founded. We are a brand for everyone working to make it easier for everyone to experience the world, no matter your budget or where you come from. This multicultural ethos not only makes businesses strong, but makes society stronger,” says Arjan Dijk, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Booking.com.

“In these challenging times, it’s important to remember that it’s the diverse backgrounds, cultures and perspectives representing so much of the world that have made this country what it is today. We hope the ‘America Is For Everyone’ experiences help quench Americans' collective curiosity and inspire travellers to seek out new experiences they may not have realised existed so close to home.”
