Strange booking case

Hi team,

We had a very unpleasant situation with booking. 
Our property is presented on booking and airbnb. We use synchronization and never had any questions. 
3 weeks ago we had a 4-nights reservation on Airbnb, and it was displayed on booking. 

Despite this fact, guest could reserve one night via booking on the one of these nights. 

After our call he cancel reservation and I send my question to Booking. 3 weeks I had no replies from Booking and opened a new message thread. Today I received a call from Booking and was said that Booking has no any synchronizations (wow, what do I see in this case in my calendar there) and my flat is opened for the dates when it's booked on other services. 
It's a real surprize! 

Who faced with such cases? It  looks flagrantly that we pay a huge comission, see some info in calendar and there is no synchronization. 
How do you work with this? 

It's impossible to close each day manually when it's booked on other services and looks closed on Booking. 

Could you please advise anything?

I have my rental property listed on Booking,com, Airbnb, Expedia, FlipKey and TripAdvisor.

 

My reservation calendar is synced with Airbnb, FlipKey and TripAdvisor.  But I must manually block-out dates on Booking,com and Expedia to prevent double-booking.  It is a bother, but I just cope with it.

 

I have learned to NEVER trust the synchronization of all booking platform calendars.

 

P.S.:  85% of my guest bookings are through Booking,com.  I thank Booking,com for spending money on USA television advertising, compared to the other reservation website companies.

Hi Don, 

Thank for your experience. I really had no any issues for 2 years and it was really surprise for me. Especially when apartments were booked 2-6 Sep and it was marked in calendar, but new guest could book it early sep 5 on the same date Sep 5. 

So, if I understand correctly, you manually close your property in Booking calendar on the dates it booked via other service, correct?

Olga:  Yes, I must manually block-out dates separately on Booking,com and Expedia.

 

But I only need to block-out dates once on either Airbnb, FlipKey or TripAdvisor, as these three calendars are all synchronized together.

The Booking.com calendar sync is broken. We had several double bookings because of it. We contacted Booking.com support several times and all we got was the usual xxx responses. We have to manually block out on Booking.com and AirBnB for every reservation.

It looks like it's necessary to close instant confirmation on airbnb to prevent cases, when it's booked at night time or any other cases...
