What has your stay to offer that is unique to the area?
Our place is situated in a country with lots of cows. Our cows get lots of nice fresh grass, no artificial hormones to stimulate milk gift, the grass is not getting the fertiliser that makes it grow like mad. It grows naturally with lots of clover. Our cows live in the open fields and walk freely in the fresh air. The milk we can provide to guests if they are willing to try is unprocessed, natural milk with no added nasties. It contains no chemicals. So : yummy for your porridge in the morning or to add to your coffee to set you off for the day. All natural. Photo to follow. What is your speciality or extra's you offer your guests? Nuts or fruits from your backyard, a river to swim in, or a pickup from the airport?

Aaltje B. What a description... I wish I was closer to enjoy your cows. We don’t have cows but most of our neighbors have goats, sheep’s, chickens, ducks etc. Last week little goats were born and I am so thrilled...
My place has a unique view to the sea and the mountains and my guests love to relax and admire the peaceful scenery...

You can use your phone connection for your laptop, it's called using the phone as a "hotspot".
The little box on the mobile app is pretty useless! We mentioned this ages ago in another thread, someone from BDC even acknowledged it and then.......no change.
Come on BDC peeps, you want this forum to work, you want folk to use your mobile app......so make it usable!!!

We have the farmers trucks going by selling whatever fruit is in season for very low cost, we buy plenty and add it to the breakfast selection, guests may eat as much as they like.
fluff your guests must love the idea of fresh fruits for breakfast. Very thoughtfull of you.

There are three things that is a must have to see before you get to our property in Nanyuki.a taxi pick at the airport get organised as per the guest requirements. You will pass the coffee plantations on your way and get a glimpse of also tea plantations at the far end on your way. A must have is a close look at the Mt Kenya,a mountain at the equitor with a snow covering. You can also plan to visit a nearby conservancy for a chance to view the big five animals

Aaltje B. the baby black goat has a mother but he was infected by diarrhea so the owner have prepared for him a special home made treatment from rice.
Thank God I saw them yesterday and all six of them are in great health...

Anemone and it only blooms in early Spring and lasts very little. They are very delicate and disappear by the end of March...

Is it growing only in your country?
We are in a rural area so it is very quiet. We are near the Bruce Trail so a lot of hikers like our location. We have free range chickens and some of our guests enjoy picking them up and of course gathering eggs with us in the morning. In the summer, a farmer has cows in the field. We also have some bee hives. This year we hope to teach people more about bees. We are adding more and more plants that bees, birds and butterflies are attracted to.

Mashi as far as I know anemones are spread throughout the world.
Anemones grow wild in several regions, but basically located in the woodland and meadows of northern regions.
In Greek mythology, anemone flowers are a symbol of the love between Adonis and Aphrodite.
The name anemone derives from the word wind (anemos in Greek) because the Ancient Greeks thought that these plants only grew when the wind was blowing!!!!

About Cape Agulhas
Yes, it’s official, this is the spot to get your photo taken at the southernmost tip of Africa.
Ocean currents between Cape Agulhas and Cape Point may be constantly moving and mingling, however, the official meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, according to the International Hydrographical Organisation, is Cape Agulhas. This demarcation is cast in stone!
This wild and treacherous coastline known as the Graveyard of Ships only adds to the dramatic and remote beauty of the area. Pearl-like winter days, between the wild storms that lash this Cape, are gentle, peaceful, and windless.
A fascinating historic and cultural legacy has been left here by the Khoikhoi beach nomads, who lived along the Cape Agulhas coastline for many centuries. The well preserved shell middens and fish-traps are of interest to many a historian and archaeologist.
Agulhas Beach offers great swimming in the tidal pools or surfing in the open sea where two oceans meet. Other beach activities include hiking, whale spotting, tennis, bowling, horse riding or rock and surf angling.
About Cape Agulhas Lighthouse
Visit the lighthouse on the southern-most tip of Africa!
Built in 1848, the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse was only the second one to be built in South Africa. Today the lighthouse is a national monument, housing the unique lighthouse museum and a small rustic restaurant.
The coastline here is a graveyard of shipwrecks. The sea off Cape Agulhas has long been notorious with sailors for winter storms and massive rogue waves, which can even sink large ships. The Arniston (1815), Cooranga (1964), Elise (1879), European (1877), Federal Lakes (1975), Geortyrder (1849), Gouritz (1981), and Gwendola (1968) are just a few of the vessels lost along this coast. Showpieces from some of these shipwrecks are on display at the Bredasdorp Shipwreck museum.
Owing to the hazards and following the loss of numerous vessels, notably the Arniston, the lighthouse was built. Seventy-one steps lead up to the top of what is now the second oldest working lighthouse in southern Africa. Stone mined from an adjacent limestone quarry provided the raw materials for its construction.
Visitors to the area can still see the Meisho Maru 38 wreck on the shores of Cape Agulhas. Remains of ancient stone fish traps used by the Khoisan people can be seen to the east of the lighthouse.
The longest, uninterrupted white beach in the Southern Hemisphere? It's right here at Struisbaai - all 14 kilometers of it! Struisbaai beach is a wonderful walking beach with safe swimming. The quaint, bustling fishing harbor attracts photographers and artists alike and is an impressive sight when the fishing boats come in. Most of their catch is destined for community supper tables and restaurants in the area.Need to know? The entrance fee to the lighthouse is R15 for adults and R7.50 for kids (2 – 11 years). This entrance fee is in line with other Transnet National Ports Authority’s lighthouses which are open to visitors.About Struisbaai Beach

We live next to a wild life sanctuary and have a number of animals and birds that move around and through our property.
We are also close to many wine regions in and around the Adelaide Hills and the colors of the autumn trees in the area bring many people out for a drive and coffees

What an interesting string this is! I should be working hard to promote Festina Lente In Onrus, and instead, I've been reading and dreaming about the fascinating, beautiful real places with real people all over the world!
Our vacation rental is set in Onrus, a quiet village close to one of the most spectacular land-based whale watching areas in the world, in Hermanus on South Africa's southwestern coast (relatively close to Moira!) Besides watching these massive mammals cavort in the ocean around Walker Bay from Sep to May, we have world-famous wineries in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, fynbos hikes and even shark-cage dives close by.
Most of all, this is an area where families can enjoy time together either sitting and chatting around a 'braai' (barbeque) or spend time in the sun on white, sandy beaches and surf or swim in pristine tidal pools. It's the reason for our Latin name because it's an ideal place to 'hasten slowly'.
Our property is located in Gruene, Texas. It is a small historic district in the city of New Braunfels, Texas - which is now being listed as one of the top growing cities in the states. We are only a four minute walk from what is known as Texas' oldest dance hall. Our property has a nature trail that leads straight down to the Guadalupe River where you can jump right in or fish. We are the only 21 & up hotel in our area, and our room rental rate includes complimentary wine every evening, and a gourmet, buffet-style breakfast in the morning. We have beautiful river frontage. Offer archery and rowing coaching too. Quiet countryside location. We can take guests on a river trip and picnic.
Our stretch of water is so calm that many international rowing, kayaking and canoe squads come here for training.
