Can i know, how we rate a guest.
You can not rate the guest. All you can do is to reply to guest review.
It would be very nice to have this option on booking.com. That way, relation between guest and host would be 2way street. There are many people who can have bad intentions, and their review may not be objectivly written. So, it affects our bussines.
As you can see from many comments many many hotels believe Booking.com favours the guest where reviews are concerned
Do not expect Booking.com to remove any lies the guest writes about you or agree a suggestion like yours as Booking.com does believe in a fair review system as this would lose them money
It is difficult.
We had a guest who marked the hotel low and commented that they had 'the most disgusting dinner of their life' with us. We do not have a restaurant and have never served dinner! BDC 'investigated' it but refused to remove it.
Booking.com rarely removes guest reviews but they sometimes do.It happened to us once wherein we reported a no-show and after two days found a 2.5 rating from the same guest. We appealed to Booking.com and had it removed. Nowadays, we can also review guests by the "Report Guest Misconduct" button on the guest reservation page. Once it is clicked, another option will pop up asking the property if it prefers not to receive any booking from the same guest. Please remember that you can use this option within 7 days after the guest checks-out. Hope this helps.
can we see if somebody reported already on this guest "Report Guest Misconduct" what did they reported or if this guest was ever reported even if we dont see what was the issue ? or is it only for bookings com to see ?
Ask BDC if they would waive the comission fees if you were to make a reservation at your own establishment for which you could then "Report Guest Misconduct".
That way you could see what the hotelier and the guest sees.
I reported a guest for misconduct back in February. I emailed a detailed justification to Booking Customer Services and followed up with a phone call.
They assured me the guest would be blacklisted (and I'm assuming were prevented from leaving a review). However, I still had to pay commission for this guest stay.
I don't see much value in continuing to work with booking.com if you can't rate your guests, plus to top that off, you have to wait about 1 month to get your money. Ridiculous! Airbnb pays us the day after guests arrive. Their revenue model doesn't depend on making interest off of the property owners' revenues.
