There was this guests, who while conversing with the husband told me it was his wife birthday and his hands were tied, did not know what to do.i told him i could bake her a cake and some other things,we had a home surprise party and bought a card and had him sign andd the kids .it was indeed an enjoyable night
I love some of the ideas! Keep submitting please!! You are all doing such a great job!
Well,i am a perso, who do not have any hard and fast rule,i am the manager/owner,so i do things according to my own intuition .Sometimes,i may go all out and do not charge,or ask the client to meet me,half-way,it all depends
Persons are different, some like their space, others love alot of interaction,so what i do ,depends on many other factors.
But,there was these guests, who decided to go on the beach for the day,my family accompanied them,i prepared packed snacks at no costs, but on the other hand,i have a way of making things look great and attractive at low costs, and everyone is filled and happy
For example,if i am doing sandwiches, instead of making the ordinary, everyday sandwiches,i would make pinwheel sandwiches, with coloured bread,so one would have to ask, what is that, but it is just using food arts,or i would make it to look like a domino
if i am doing fried chicken,i spend some time to remove the bone, fill it with something and place it on a stick,so these little additions make the food look ,so much more attractive and bring out waves,of more love.
This is very interesting! I too find it difficult to know what to charge for and what not to! I agree with Anthurium, I think it is best to use our gut instincts. Some it seems need to be charged for things or they will take advantage of you , while others are very respectful and either offer to pay or help with whatever there request might be. So depending upon how they ask and what they ask for we charge or not!
Recently we had a spur of the moment engagement and only found out once the guest left. We asked them to share photos and posted that on our Facebook page so they could share it with friends and family.
I believe that most hotels/resorts already have something special for guest special occasion. For us we have flower, cake, candle, gift. Also if there is very special occasion and special guest, we can offer balloon, photo, etc. for them.
