Thief goves bad reviews

Hi. I had to vent somewhere so had to post. Had a guest turn up at 8 pm , go straight to her room , get up and leave in the morning early with one of my towels. It was so early that I did not check the room properly. I didn't mind her stealing the towel so much but then she gave me a 5 out of 10, passable review with no comments.

How frustrating, Cherry!

Ask BDC to remove the negative review. They should be able to do that. via Help desk, or Inbox in your extranet.

Wishing you many honest and thankful guests!

Hah! BDC remove a negative review.....NO CHANCE!

You can report the guest for "misconduct" though. May not achieve anything except a little self satisfaction "poke in the eye" style.

Thanks fluff. That is bad news. BDC have to change that. If other OTA's can, they can!

Thanks for the comments. It helps. I think I'll just forget it and buy a new towel.

Oh good on you - and make someone embroider or sew the name of your unit on it, might help too. People may get the message :)

Have a great weekend!

I had the same. It was a road working company owner with two other staff he apparently barely knew. They stole £123+ worth of things. They also left a big mess that took 2 extra hours to clean and damaged furniture and also somehow ripped up my gravel drive... Apparently, the thefts were from the newest hire who has mental issues (I found an empty prescription for mental illness in the house and that he had played with sanitary products for menstruation left for guests who need them).

The owner acted very concerned and pretended he was going to pay immediately but hasn't 10 days later. On top of all of this, the guy had the nerve to leave me a mediocre 7.5 across the board review. He claimed he paid a lot of money!

What is wrong with people? Where in England can you get a spotless, complete house for £32 per person???? – much less one in a boutique hotel style/quality. He was 5 minutes from the work he was doing (and it's a good area regardless) but he marked 7.5 for location. Unbelievable.

I've spent a lot on my place. It is a romantic retreat, not a crash site for labourers – yet I cannot get Booking.com to stop sending me ruffians. Even a good portion of the people I get from the Booking platform coming for a romantic break have been ruffians in comparison to the guests I get from elsewhere.
