How do I find conversations from other partners? What is the difference between Partner Hub and Partner Forum?

The Partner Forum is one part of the Partner Hub. I expect that, as usual, someone at Booking.com thinks the rest of the Hub is useful to us or what we want to see ....

I am completely confused between the partner community post, the partner hub and the partner forum! Tried getting help by phoning the customer service and they didn't know either? Also send messages via booking.com - they send replies but unable to get the right information as they send me links and I am back to square one. Any suggestions?

Still can't get to conversations of other partners! Any idea of how to do that. You seem to be the only partner I am reaching. Any suggestions?

Hi Jennyharris ,

Welcome to the Partner Community!

The Partner Hub gives you access to five channels: Click Magazine, Blog, Partner Help, Commercial and the Partner Community.

By clicking on "Go the Partner Community" from the Partner Hub, you'll be redirected to the topics page where you can choose a conversation you would like to engage with.

At the top of that page you'll also find a list of "Featured Posts", "Unanswered" and "Recent ones".

If you would like to "Introduce yourself to the Community" meeting other partners, you can click on the June's edition or on the July one.

All the best!

Hi Jennyharris ,

I believe you're referring to the old version of the Partner Community?

Hi Ilaria, I much preferred the old version. And I am getting the same messages multiple times, which is irritating me. How do I unsubscribe to this version, please?

Can anyone tell me? When prices are quoted for accommodation in various places on the internet do they relate to per person or to the entire unit? I have one cottage and quote differently for one person and two persons.

We have self catering properties. We price for the property, not for the number of people. We often get bookings for 1 or 2 people, but a whole family uses the property - we rarely meet our guests, but we do see them as we drive past.

Pricing per person is more appropriate for Hotels / B&Bs, where food etc is provided. It's no good somebody booking for 1 person and a whole family turn up ....

Does that mean that whether it's only one person they pay the same if there are more?

I have only one self catering unit which is on the property where we live, but totally separate.

I charge less if it is only one person and a bit more per person if there are 3 or 4 people.

I always know in advance how many people to expect.

I wonder why I get multiple notices from the same person?

Yes, it's the one amount for the property, regardless of how many people staying. We base our rates on the property being fully occupied with each booking. If someone books for one person, we expect one person, but it's normally more - so we prepare all properties to be fully booked.

Are you doing something that gives a reason to charge more for more people, like providing food?

My rates are comparatively low and I feel I have to charge for the extra utilities including extra laundry. etc.. Having only one cottage, the net income is not that great. The location is ideal for people interested in sport, close to hospitals, shops, good restaurants, business people and many other activities in the area With more than two guests the price per person is very low. We are also not far from the CBD.

Take a look at similar properties in your area and see what they do with pricing. What happens if someone books for one person but 2 turn up? Maybe it's better to price for the maximum occupancy, regardless of how many turn up.

I'm in the UK. We have 66 million people here. There are plenty of people to fill my property every week of the year. I set the price according to maximum occupancy. If someone doesn't want to pay for it, someone else will. There are a lot of reasons for people to book your property. Don't reduce your income unnecessarily.
