September Photo Challenge: Your favourite spot at your property

Each month we challenge our community to share their best photo according to a theme. This month we want to see your favourite spot at your property!

For example, maybe it’s a sun-drenched bedroom that guests always rave about, or a quiet, tree-shaded bench in the garden. Show us the place that you love the most!

Make sure to post your photo by September 30th.

Booking.com may use the submitted content for other purposes (e.g. marketing) and that we can also edit, crop, enhance or modify same in a way that we deem fit.

Thanks! I had just opened two beers, I was drinking mine, and saw how nice it looked, so I ran and got my Camera, before the guest came down to drink that beer.

MikeM, your photo could be a San Miguel advert. What a sunset!

Bandara Group, the view from the Flamingo Beach Bar belongs on a postcard.

Happy posting everyone! :)

Excellent photos MikeM and Bandara Group! Perfect scenes for unwinding. If what I feel is to go by, many are saying, "That is the place to be!" - "where is it? !"

Have a successful period.

Martin.

@Laura I understand Booking.com might use our photo on marketing activity and we do not mind for that. We only ask for screenshot for our reference that's all if possible.

Hi Wilma, why not share a photo of your beautifully unique garden that survives on little to no water? Or maybe you've got another favourite spot at your property?

Remember that this isn't a photography contest, but rather an opportunity to share what you love about your place :)

When we moved to South Africa two years ago (from Germany), I thought I would not need any of my winter clothes! Boy was I wrong....we are so lucky to have high seasons in summer and winter here in our beautiful valley. Today I woke up to see the mountains dusted with snow:-)And these are our mountains in Autumn! Best regards from Fraaigelegen Farm in Tulbagh, South Africa!

Dear M Adamopoulou

When you are in the ADD A COMMENT box you will find an icon with a picture of a mountain on it - in the grey bar on top of the box. Just click on this icon and then select a picture from your computer.

Hope to see your photo soon.

We are fortunate to live on the beach in KZN South Africa, We have beautiful coastal trees between our property and the sand, although this means most of our chalets don't have sea views, this little bit of park has amazing bird life and protects us from the wind and salt air. I call this "my window" and it often frames ships, dolphins and whales.

The view from the upper deck! Quite often you can see horses in the fields just beyond the rooftops.

Villa Junona Croatia

Yesterday one of our guests wrote that she had to climb 120 stairs when living in Villa Junona.

It is right If people book our best two-level rooms at the seventh floor they have to walk up on foot. But in return they will have a really huge balcony with the best seaview in Baška Voda!

We did not make an elevator for several reasons:

1) It would be too noisy. Just imagine a big machine goes up or down in the nighttime when your kids are already sleeping.
2) It would not be 100% safety because of strong wind🌬️(Bura) which is very often in Dalmatia and sometimes has a speed as big as 120 km/hour.

3) Everybody needs physical exercise 🏋️‍♂️🤸‍♀️⛹️‍♀️- why not to use our steps instead of expensive gym?

4) And the last but not least - Our marble stairs look so nice that almost every tourist in Baška Voda makes a picture here. There is a photo made by one of our guest, I´ve accidentally found it in her Facebook
account. She posted it and wrote "In the evening, this beautiful illuminated staircase attracts everyone's attention. It draws the eye of all passers-by. Very few people could deny themselves the pleasure of doing a picture of it"

No it is not a real peacock. I made it from iron, bottles and a few other junk I had in my tool room. But I like it that you think it may be real!!!!. That is my way of relaxing.

Hi All

I feel like a complete idiot after my post of earlier today about the peacock!!!!!!!

I did make a peacock, but I forgot that I have not yet posted the photo on this forum. I did put it on Facebook and just assumed that I also did it here. So here is my new favourite spot. Sorry Bandara Hotels - you thought I was under estimating your intelligence. The other peacocks are real.

Hi all,

BWahahahha Wilma , I SO enjoy your energy! Thanks for posting your Peacock also, it's super interesting. Hobbies make life quite worth it.

I have a favorite spot at one of our properties, but as I'm not at the property I will have to paint y'all a word picture...

A short scenic walk away from your gorge-side unit takes you almost all the way back to Reception. As you enjoy the mountain view, which has better graphics than an IMAX movie in 3D, the neat path leads you just past the Clubhouse where you know people are lounging about in the hot pool. When your eyes first spot the Games Room building, you know you are almost at your favorite spot on the resort. Although the white cement bench bathing in the shade of a small thatched roof on four wooden pillars doesn't look all that comfortable, you're still looking forward to resting your legs after the uphill stroll. You remember why this bench is your favorite spot when you, finally having sat down, struggle to catch your breath... not because of the exercise but because of the view. Two steps further and you would have rolled off the side of a steep grassy and rocky hill which leads into a small dam. The landscape, as if framed by the clouds, stretch for miles and miles painting a gorgeous picture of greens, yellows and browns. You start blinking as your eyes struggles to focus on the Mountains both far and near, the trees riddling the hilltops while enjoying the crispt morning breeze. All you can do is take a deep breath and realize how big the world is, and how much there is still left to see. You want to jump up and run towards your life to go and have an adventure...but for now... sit for a while and enjoy the little things.

Everyone's favorite spot's are really awesome, thanks all for sharing!
