Accepting online payments from guests directly to booking.com
Hi all. I'm very confused, and can't get any response from booking.com via messaging. Sent a message LAST YEAR and still haven't received a reply.
I signed up for booking.com to accept guest payments on my behalf. With the future bookings I have, some say 'paid online' - some say nothing. I've read up, and actually spoke with someone about this a long time ago, but I'm still confused! So my questions are: 1. Do guests get the option to either pay online or pay at the property? That's what I was told, and it's not an acceptable situation for me, as there will be so many no shows, and being only one property, I potentially lose lots of bookings. 2. After reading up about booking.com accepting payments for us, it appears they are guaranteeing payment, according to our cancellation policy. So, does that actually mean, that the people who didn't pay immediately upon booking, will have their credit cards charged when it reaches the date when full payment is due? So, so tired of lack of support both through email, and the Indonesian phone numbers. Totally useless.
