BdC lets properties down during Corona
We're extremely disappointed by BdC.
As many other guesthouses in South Africa, we're extremely hard struck by cancellations due to Corona. BdC has put continuous pressure on us to immediately refund guests, without any understanding for the situation of small accommodation businesses. No understanding, that staff has to be paid during shut down and that many businesses will not survive this. - The only motivation for booking.com is to give customers the impression that booking.com is on their side - but doesn't care about the so called "Partners".- They make it appear as if hotels were under legal obligation to refund - which they aren't.
I hope that media in SA will quickly pick this up as booking.com is killing a whole industry with thousands of employees - most of them with very little income - while booking.com managers are sitting in Amsterdam with high salaries and big cars. Shame on your business ethics.
