Booking.com are not paying hosts. Some hosts have not been paid for months including us. And they won’t resolve the matter.

Booking.com are thief’s. They owe us thousands of pounds over 9 months and won’t talk to facilitate our payment

I haven't had a problem with payments, so far at least.  My only complaint is that they wait until ten days after arrival before they do anything - AirBnB send payment the day after the guest arrival.

Yes well we have waited months and are now owed thousands. Booking.com are unresponsive. If you google you will see many hosts are not being paid. I know of hosts that have taken booking.com to court and still they don’t pay. I defy anyone if they can actually get to speak to the finance department. No representative of booking.com can help either. It’s theft on a grand scale. Be warned and don’t be suckered like we have been by worrying about letting the guest down.

I agree.....they took commission on a booking that was cancelled due to COVID & won’t refund me. Finance won’t speak to anyone and customer services say they can only refer it to finance....a scandale!

i have updated my booking.com pages to say we are not taking any bookings through this platform due to a commission dispute...the only way I can see of alerting the customer.

we got paid fine for awhile now we've been waiting to get paid, It feels like we've been thrown into the keep net and forgotten, pay us when they feel like it if ever, I've given booking.com a week to pay up or we are going to send messages to cancel all our bookings.

This is outrageous. They take full payment on our bookings at the time of booking and hold the money. I haven’t been paid for any of my June/July bookings. How can I speak to someone direct? I’m furious.

I signed up to booking.com in June - I haven’t been paid for any of my bookings and I can’t get to speak to anyone either. All they do is send the same articles for you to read and refuse to answer questions.

I totally agree. They behave in a fraudulent way which is criminal offence.
but I ask you these two questions:-

1   If you go to the police Will they do anything? I think not !

2. For you to pursue a civil legal action in all practicality you need a service address in your own country. Do you have that service address? I think not.

People in the uk have taken them to court and won a judgment but struggle to enforce it

It’s times like this you realise what your up against

Good luck you will definitely need it

marca, you must go to the netherlands cort, just take a netherlands lawer and do it there, sand first a letter with a datetime to be paied if not directly to the cort, you will allways win because you did the job and you have the bilds. the only problem is accept that you will not be paied until the cort speaks, so you will not be paied for a long time

The difficulty is they are well known for ignoring the court’s decisions.

if you ignore a court decision and don't pay in the periode they order, they block all your accounts since you pay.at the end they must do it, and if longer you ask for more compensation money. they will pay to all os the people that go to the cort, the people that leave the platform and don't go will lose the money, is a structural criminal sistemic methode, they are a criminal organization

I have shut mine down by closing the rooms for the next 2 years. So no more bookings can come in. I am going to honour my 12 bookings that are still to come in. However, I am informing all guests of what is happening. I am only telling them the truth and keeping it factual. Then I will take Booking.com to court for my money as I have then honoured my side of the contract.

In the meantime I am using every means to spread the word about what they are doing, there is more than one way to deal with these bullies. Power of the media. As long as it is only the truth they can't do anything.

We need to get this out there so others are not caught up in this diabolical behaviour.

Hi Elaine. Did you ever receive your payments? I too have not been paid and have cancelled future bookings.

I have contacted 7 times during August 2022 consultants of booking.com to ask what is going on with July 2022 payment. I am still waiting for money transfer.

According to information from today, Aug 26th, 2022 I have jumped to conclusion there is most probably critical system malfunction / error that has happened.

What is not acceptable for me as for a Partner of booking.com is complete lack of communication from Finance Department of booking.com. I understand that there are system bugs or mistakes but I cannot accept that strange silence concerning this issue.  Moreover, I have on my extranet untrue information that payments for July 2022 have been done of 15th of August and that money will come withn 10 days., so far no payment received. Third issue - amounts scheduled for transfer for each and every separate reservation are expressed in Gross amounts, so that contain provision of booking.com plus 1,2% transfer fee.

I have collected payment confirmations from all the guests that have stayed and checked-out during July 2022. Documents prove that all of them have duly paid / transferred money to booking.com.  I suggest to all of You to do the same to keep evidence for yourselves that guests' liabilities have been cleared by money transfer in favour of booking.com for their stay in relevant month.

Moreover, I had to pay my VAT tax for July 2022 because I have received Invoice from booking.com and I am not exempted from VAT tax payments even though I have not received money. Invoice triggers all my liabilities, at least such situation we have in Poland.

What I also suggest to all of You to do, is to make screenshots from the reservations' details section when You have this information about payment in August 15th - please take a closer look to the amounts mentioned - they are all GROSS including provision and transfer fee of booking.com (payment should normally be in NET amounts after deduction provision and transfer fee).

I have also gathered information from my colleagues that run the same business with booking.com concerning July 2022 payments receipt  (and generally about payment discipline).

I decided to wait few days more and I wish booking.com's team to solve this problem.

You have to sue them.... when you win in court (and you will) you can get a judgment against them which is far worse than a bankruptcy on their end.  Make sure that you not only win in court but get a judgment.  That is key.  They cannot access any credit until that judgment is paid.
