Cancellations

Hello everyone. This is my first time using the Partner forum and I already feel welcome.You are all so helpful.I too experience frequent cancellations , which in my opinion is bad for business. BDC does not accept online payment in my region as yet ,so accepting a deposit to mitigate against this , is an issue: any other suggestion(s)?Hello everyone. - Having a POS terminal to charge/authorize guest credit card.

- Taking deposits/payment by bank transfer by contacting the guest directly after the booking is made.

Partners are indeed very helpful.

Last year, not only me but all properties in my region, had too many cancellations.   BDC facilitates my payments so there is no possibility to take deposits.  They suggested  me to have more strict policies and create non-refundable rates. Less reservations but more secure.

Also there are online solutions with mobile apps from sumup.com, payrexx.com etc..

 

In particular a virtual terminal is required for taking remote payments. i.e. the card holder is not at location when taking prepayment over the phone.

You can also use payrexx to send a payment link to the guest who does not need to share card details directly and then simply choose from multiple pay methods (cards, paypal, apple pay etc)
