City Tax

Hallo everyone

I am new in this business. I want to know if I have to collect the city tax myself in cash from the guests?  here is an example of a night reservation: i see the following in extranet:

total reservation price 26.81

commissionable amount 24.48

commission 2.94

city tax 2.33

amount sent to my bank account 23.55

so I understand that booking takes the city tax from the guest ? Is that right?

Hi Rana,

Typcially no, you do not do it unless the guest is paying you directly.

So if the guest is prepaying via BdC system, you will see under Property> TVAT/Tax/Charges, a list of all the taxes including city tax.

if any of them are missing or incorrect message BdC Partner Support.

Your next step /action is to phone BdC Partner Support

Reminder Partner Support will never see this. Posting account or action requests here will result in nothing.

 Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.

Kind Regards
