Credit card details restrictions

I have recently listed my 4th property and all of sudden i cannot see the guest's credit card details because of a 'new policy'! I explained that i cannot accept cash as i am not at the property when the guests arrive and that there is a self check in but somehow a solution cannot be found. Why do they allow the guests to enter their credit card details if i cannot have access to them? How am i supposed to get paid if i am not at the premises when guests arrive and i dont have the credit card details? this is crazy and nobody seems to be able to help. Anybody else experiencing this?

Thanks for asking, sorry that you're struggling.

Yes, I've been through this. Apparently the property itself needs to Qualify for this by doing well. (I think it has to do with the amount of bookings and good reviews).

But what I did was ask them to check my Group account and notice that all three of other properties have credit card details activated which I have access to. We can stand on reputation. To which they said no.... but three days later I had access to view the card details to the 4th property.

Otherwise, get into contact with your Account Manager. Go to inbox -> Booking.com messages. When you scroll down, the name and number of your property manager for Booking.com will be there and he/she wants you to succeed as much as you want to. They are normally always willing to help you in any way they can.

(PS. If there is no name there, go and check on the other 3 properties and use one of those).

Dear Leandri, thanks for the attention. I did call, emailed, call again..nobody seems to hear logic. How can this work if you are not on the premises and you have a self check in policy? All i got was 'if it does not work for you, you can take down the listing..' And i have been a partner for almost 10 years. Platforns like Airbnb have grown solely on the self check in policy, here they just want to kill it.

WE JOINED STRIPE FOR OUR CARD PAYMENTS WE NOW HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH CVC OR CARD DETAILS WHEN YOU LOG ON TO A CUSTOMERS DETAILS IT ONLY GIVES YOU THE LAST 4 CARD NUMBERS SO YOU DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE CARD SECURITY AS WITH UK BANKS EACH PAYMENT IS ONLY 3 CLICKS ON YOUR MOUSE AND UP FRONT CHARGE OF 1.4%

AND FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 7 DAYS

Hi I am experiencing this with one of my properties also - we have 7 others that are fine - but the one that isn't has cause so much stress  - Fred can you tell me how you do the stripe payments - we use stripe but have to manually enter in details etc - is there another way?
