Deceptive Promotions
I opted for a 'last minute' promotion of 15%, however my guests ended up with 25% discount as the offer included a monthly rate of a further 10% discount despite this being a booking for only 4 nights. furthermore my £60 cleaning fee was not added.
This is completely wrong and I was informed that when a promotion is selected a guest can select any rates?
I was informed that booking.com would not payout the difference and still take their commission!
This sounds like a misconfiguration. Calling it deceptive is a myth, not understanding how things work would be more acurate.
Best to phone support and get the advisor to take you through how to set it so this does not happen again.

Hi,
Yes, I have talked to Partner Support several times and was told that the promotional discount will be added to other discounts. Despite this, a monthly discounted rate should be only ever be for bookings for 28 days or more and I have received no compensation for this 'misconfiguration'.
As they have refused to accept this, I have now removed the promotion and any rate discounts including those for weekly or monthly bookings to ensure this doesn't happen again.
