GDPR Influence of Statistics, Guest Data available in Extranet

Im just wondering what influence will have the GDPR on the bookin.com Extranet. Will all guest details stay available for the hoteliers? Or B.com needs to delete them?

Was there any announcement?

Hi there,

As far as my experience goes, Booking.com removes the Contact details of the guests from the websie but keeps the Booking.com details on your extranet.

Hi Roman,

No probs, I just know they won't reply here though. Maybe they might send an announcement as you say but I'm doubtful that they focus on such "smaller" matters. On one of the other threads people were talking about whether or not it's ethical to write down all the client details in order to put them on a mailing list for property promotions.

I actually read my contract the other day, and we are not allow to do that at all. They're quite strict on it, so I strongly doubt they will ever change that.

Best we can do is deliver such a great experience that the client Asks us to keep their details.

Keep well!
