Guest error

I had a company that booked 3 workmen into my cottage. My advert says sleeps 4, 1 bedroom with double bed & a sofa bed.
They didn’t read the accommodation & booked expecting it to be 4 single beds. The men arrived & I had to direct them to the nearest Inn as they couldn’t stay.
Do I still get paid as it was booked as their error or do I offer a refund?


Morally, offer a refund.

Accountants view, charge them.

Alternatively, have a deal with other accommodations, either they are cheaper than you plus you get a special rate, pay the Inn and pocket the difference. OR, refund the guest and glean a commission from the Inn.
