Guest payments/ Income

I am trying to improve guest payments and finances in my properties in Nigeria. I will appreciate advise from partners.

I am considering putting a bigger property into hospitality and onto Booking.com. A bit nervous about income.

Hi Dejifisho

This is the most important for us as hosts, isn't it?

What is your experience with income from a smaller unit?

Do people not have the money with them, or cards not valid etc?

A new feature will be that people pay at the time of booking. (same as Airbnb) Or at least, that you can change your settings that way that guests pay first) This will prevent too many cancellations and the host is happy :)

Booking.com is working on it if I understand correctly.

But I don't know when it will be realized though. You could as them if it is going to be something that is applicable in your country as well.

you could also do the check in and pay first before people go into the house. If no money, then no stay and you make it a no show.

Hope this helps you to make up your mind.
