How do I cancel a guest reservation

Hi. I've made a mistake on the pricing and a guest booked. How do I let them know that we need to cancel their reservation.

You basicly can't as per contract when you joined BDC. If you cancel a confirmed booking, you will pay the commission and possible additional costs for the relocation. 

You can send a message to guest and ask them if they are willing to accept a free cancelation. If arrival date is more then 48h away you can "Request to cancel the reservation" in extranet, but if the guest doesn't accept it the booking will remain active.

I agree with pibomarco...those are the rules but if you are new and this is your first time...if you explain your situation directly to booking .com maybe they can suggest to you something else...

Both the posts above are spot on. If an appeal as a new user falls flat...

How much is the price difference between wanted and actual? If still tenable I would recommend going ahead with the booking orrrrrrr can you possibly find similar, alternative accommodation locally and do a deal with that host? (like hand over the booking for a small commision to cover the BDC bill). You will, of course, need to inform the guest of all this and assist in the change.
