How do I get paid apart from Cash?

Hello,

My property was just booked for the first time and guest arriving tomorrow. In the payments section, I chose cash because as an individual, banks don't provide credit card facilities, only to businesses. I only have one property so I can't go through the hassle to create a company.

My question, most customers want to pay using a credit card. Any of you have any tip? Can I use Paypal for example? Any other service you might be aware that enables me to get a machine and accept credit card?

I can't take credit cards either, at the moment I only accept cash. Some countries (Not where I am) do have a PAYPAL option, and in some countries it seems B.C. will collect the payment for you. I did check out an app called SQUARE - with a square account you can accept payments through credit cards, check that out. Also are you on AIRBNB? If you are not get on their platform - excellent prepayment system, I wish B.C. had a payment system like AIRBNB's.  Good luck.

Hey, I am new to B.C, so how does B.C get their fee if the guests pay cash? How does this work?

I am already on Airbnb so I never have to do anything in regards to the payment.

Thanks so much if you could answer this.

I am on AirBnb and yes I am getting paid by them instantly to my bank account while they collect the payment from the customer and cut their commission.

Thanks, will check out Square.

I have the same question as @Maidi Maduro. If I get paid by cash, how do I pay B.C.? and why B.C. will trust me? lol

I kept reading and it seems B.C will send you an invoice end of month to charge you commission. I guess if you don't pay it they will take down your listing.

I also read that you can pre-charge the guests when they make reservation. But I have not figured out how to do this in the settings yet. I will let you know once I figure it out.

You'll get an invoice at the end of the month. I can't pre-charge guests, hoping B.C. will allow prepayment in my area soon.

and why B.C. will trust me

Good question! If they will see, that you intentionally don't pay their commission they will block you and you will lose business with them. So, don't be loose with their money 😊

Hmmm... So the guest didn't turn up today, and he was supposed to pay in cash, what needs to be done now?

For those of us who can't accept credit card, how do we deal with no show? It's a shame that B. C. doesn't protect us.

You have to MARK yourself no show. Or else Booking will presume that the guest stayed and will ask you to pay commission
