how do you refund a guest thru booking.com virtual card

I need to not charge a room to a guest of a mix up, they have been charged by booking.com via  virtual card

I have tried charging card then a refund, is this correct

how do i know when the guest will get a refund

So if a guest prepays BdC on your behalf at checkout, BdC  hold the funds.


  • If a guest initiates a cancelation via BdC website account or phones BdC CS, you get a notification or phone call to confirm if you will waive cancelation policy fee.


If you initiate it on the reservation details page , on right pane, click Request Cancel.

  • Then choose option 2.
  • This triggers the cancellation for the guest and auto agrees to full refund.
  • Guest receives notification, and must click to confirm .
  • System updates reservation status to cancelled, and will eventually process the refund [5-10 days, average 5]


If you charge the VCC issued by BdC on day after arrival date, then you need to refund that transaction.

 Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 


  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
