I have not been paid by Booking.Com for last month!!!

I called last Thursday and they were supposed to be getting back to me.  Sent them a message over the weekend and now currently hold on the phone for over 20 minutes for the department.  I am based in the UK nothing has changed, bank details are all the same have not opted out to take payment direct I do not understand what is going on.  I need these funds urgently.  Has anyone else not been paid in the UK?

iN RUSHVIEWS LETTER, SHE ALSO CONFIRMED IT COULD TAKE A FURTHER 10 DAYS FROM THEM SENDING THE MONEY UNTIL IT REACHES OUR ACCOUNT.

In the future, I did confirm with our team that the payout can take up to 10 business days to hit your bank from the time the payment is processed.

SO WE COULD BE WAITING UNTIL THE 4TH JUNE FOR OUR MONEY....

SO BE PREPARED!!!

I agree.

The payment is alleged to have been sent yesterday 22nd. From experience payments take 3 to 4 days to clear. So even if sent yesterday, we are unlikely to see it clear until 26th, which is a Sunday, so more likely Tuesday 28th................you can see where this is probably leading.

That means that this payment is going to be 17 days late. My suppliers are not sympathetic. I have around £1K utility bills on red demand and no means to pay until the money clears. My life is on hold. If my services go down I won't be able to honour any bookings at all and I'll have re-connection penalties to pay and huge re-location bills.

My account at my builder's merchant is on stop, so our business development is at a standstill and my builders idle. So much for being open this Summer.

What happened to express clearance?

I totally agree that we should be seeking to have our commission for April returned. I didn't fully understand what the 10 business days was referring to in the message? Is it for this late payment or just generally when we get paid. Either way it makes no sense. My bet is that we get the money next week and that e-mail saying we have been successfully paid was just to buy them some more time.

We don't care about their technical problems or excuses, just transfer the money and compensate us.

Why is the bank transfer STILL not received in my account? Please send proof that you have processed asap! I'm still persuing Watchdog until I not only receive my money for April, but also an offer of compensation!!

FROM TOMORROW I WILL START CANCELLING BOOKINGS AS I HAVE NO FOOD FOR BREAKFASTS ETC. AND AM FULL FOR WEEKEND. BOOKING.COM NEVER GET BACK TO ME OR GIVE ME REASONS. GO TO TRUST PILOT TO SEE THE HORRENDOUS REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY. ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE BEEN LATE PAYING ME AND NEVER OFFER COMPENSATION FOR BANK CHARGES.

Good morning,

This is complete rubbish.

I contacted my bank last week to ask if they refused a payment.

They (Ulster Bank) said they would never refuse a payment inwards unless the account was suspect and on a watch list.

I need payment and will cancel all reservations for BDC guests until I am paid.

OMG I am really worried now. I would immediately request the transaction number from booking.com so that your bank can verify this information. Let us all know how you get on. Depending on the outcome we will have to step up our game!

Khris, have you changed banks recently, i.e. how long have book.com been sending funds to this account. Have you changed your payment method monthly to weekly? In order to make an international payment they need your banks SWIFT + BIC number every bank has there own. Check to see if these numbers are correct with your bank? I am running out of ideas. If this second payment attempt fails, this is deadly serious. I need to purchase heating oil and pay my mortgage.

Can you please provide the reference no, date and time of the rejected transaction so that I can get clarification from the Bank.

Failure to provide this detail will be used in subsequent claim for Breach of Contract action in local Court.

I have made no change to the way I am paid or the Bank I get paid into.

This is getting beyond the ridiculous.

I have never taken a claim to Small Claims Court so Im hoping that we can help and support each other in filing our various claims when the time comes.

Absolutely Khris, and what a joke we work so hard to get such good reviews and theirs are appalling. The only trouble is they are a big fish and they get lots of business, which in turn filters out to us, well it does if we get paid :-(

PS can we also start liking each others comments as it helps us all, in this point scoring gerbil treadmill we live in. I don't know if it reflects with the algorithms as far as visibility? Does anyone know?

Which paper? I've now got friends who have booked via booking.com for 1st June football, getting their reservations cancelled. I just explained that them its probably because owners have lost faith that they will get paid. The knock on effect has started!

Had a little chat with Expedia this morning, who rang because (for some time now) Booking.com have been running "risk free" discounting with me and many others, making us cheaper on Booking than on Expedia. This to to snatch away a larger share of the market.

It's good news for the customer, but has mixed consequences for the host, and means Booking.com are getting no commission at all.

Expedia are very critical of Booking.com, saying "this is not a sustainable situation" - take it to it's logical conclusion and Booking.com would go bust. It has certainly distorted the market in a very unpredictable year. Can't help but wonder whether there is a connection between this and our current non-payment troubles...........

What you notice is that Expedia (who have their own faults, of course) actually TALK TO YOU.........

I've been looking at Homeaway - I have to say I'm very impressed so far. Not sure how many people actually book through them - not my first place to try but there's no harm in being there and they've called me up and talked me through stuff. Great customer service so far!

Also had a few replies from Booking.com saying there 24/7 - what a joke!!

I also have to stop breakfast. I have just 4 sausages left 5 eggs, half a loaf of bread. Ive no fresh milk for one week now. One guest complained! But with credit card maxed, bank overdrawn and being charged interest what can you do. Fortunately my dog still has food!

Ilaria, Thank you for your automated message attempting to calm the reactions, but if what you say is actually the case, then why on earth would we still be getting "Automated" responses back from Credit control and finance saying that the issue is with OUR banks? this makes NO SENSE! I have received the exact same automated response 3 times now after contacting your finance department and all of those responses saying that the payments were rejected by my bank...every time I get that response, I also contact my bank (Royal Bank of Scotland) and every time I have advised that this is NOT the case....they can see previous deposits into the acccount on a monthly basis but nothing at all attempted in the Month of May. They had also advised that they would NEVER decline a payment going INTO the account. What is actually going on. Could you please ask someone to clarify with certainty? but before that....could BDC please get their heads together and figure out how to tell their supposed partners the truth...IE, non conflicting information? This is sad.

AT LAST!!! The missing money arrived in my Barclays account this morning 24th. I think we can now assume that if you haven't seen payment clear into your account, then you still have a problem and should get on it TODAY. Booking's finance department isn't going to respond even internally until Monday...………..

Can I make a suggestion? ALL OF US should contact Booking.com on 3rd of June, as soon as we receive the remittance advice email, and demand to know when payment will be sent and when it can be expected to clear. On the payment date (probably 8th) we should do the same. On 11th (when it should clear) we should start looking for it in our accounts and, if by 12th it isn't there, ALL OF US should be chasing Booking.com and contacting this forum again.

I got the impression that the only thing that got us any answers this month was the mass protest on this forum...…………….

FYI others, I bank with Barclays and when I logged in at a couple of minutes past midnight (yes that eager) the money was 'in' Good luck everyone! I have just put the phone down to TSB (my bank) who I have had to call again because I still have not received my May payment for reservations taken in April. They have looked in general payments and international payments and there is nothing and nothing pending. They have asked that you put a trace on this transaction and recall this payment. I am absolutely taring my hair out. I have reservations coming in and hosting booking.com guest with virtually no money. I cannot afford to purchase heating oil that I desperately need or pay my mortgage. This is now extremely urgent especially as nearly everyone else has been paid and you have said that this is sorted out, when it clearly isn't. I don't think my mental health can take much more. This is absolutely an appalling service by an international company. I will be seeking legal advice. I AWAIT A VERY URGENT RESPONSE!!!!!!!!
