I have not been paid by Booking.Com for last month!!!

I called last Thursday and they were supposed to be getting back to me.  Sent them a message over the weekend and now currently hold on the phone for over 20 minutes for the department.  I am based in the UK nothing has changed, bank details are all the same have not opted out to take payment direct I do not understand what is going on.  I need these funds urgently.  Has anyone else not been paid in the UK?

Bide a while, then if that is the case, I think I will work down the executive's list until I get a response from someone. I will also update the Sunday Mail chap of the email I have sent her and I have posted on This is Money facebook page. Any other ideas?

You have to ask yourself who is making the decisions to deny and deny and hide the truth.

Everyone knows that the more you deny and the more you lie about something the worse it gets.

Do they have any life experience at all? Do the owners of BDC know that we are being censored????

I mean seriously,,, we are being censored for talking about a problem affecting us.

The media may not be that bothered about a few score B&B's not getting paid but censorship is another matter entirely.

If any of these so called decision makers worked for me, they would be gone in the morning.

Please try and take a picture or note of each email sent. That sort of thing will give investigative journalists ammunition to ask why so many pleas went unanswered by the CEO of such a big co.

Show that she (Gillian ***) is simply not up to the task.

Thanks to everyone for their support. I have taken Juliette's advise and sent an e-mail to Gillan ***, maybe others should try this also:

Dear Gillian,

I am writing to you as the CEO of Booking,com to complain about non-payment of money owed to me. Unfortunately, I have had a very stressful three weeks trying to obtain £XXXXX payment from your company for guests I hosted during the month of April 2019. I should have been paid on 15 May as I received the remittance advise on 3 May 2018, and notification that the payment was issued on 8 May 2019. But I never did get paid.

I understand that Booking.com has implemented a new payment method and has been experiencing some teething problems. This, unfortunately, doesn't help me as I have to pay my bills. £XXXX may not seem a lot to you but to me it is my monthly outgoings on mortgage and utilities which I cannot go without paying. I was relaying on this payment to cover expenses for May and June bookings.

I have wasted hours of my time phoning your company and sent emails almost every day to try and resolve this matter. Virtually all my emails have gone completely unanswered and the operators who answer the phone although very sorry cannot help and they have a great deal of difficulty in contacting the people that can i.e Credit Control. I have contacted others impacted by this terrible situation via the partners forum and have been advised that the funds have left Booking.com account and have been rejected by banks. This is the same bank account that you have been sending the money owed to me for the last year without any problem, so I cannot understand.

I visited my bank in person on the 23 May and the bank staff checked my account records. The bank staff insisted that they have never received this payment and they have not rejected it. They have explained that all previous payments went through so there is no logical explanation why this one didn't other than it did not reach my bank in the first place. They have stated that there is no evidence to suggest my bank rejected the payment. I am not sure what has happened but if booking.com can proved evidence from its BACs run to show that my bank rejected the payment I could present this to my bank as evidence. My bank advised me to contact booking,com and request that the payment be sent again. I did this and then finally, received a message from your credit control team on the 24 May confirming that the payment would be with me within 5 working days. Unfortunately, this too proved to be a lie. The message itself has somehow been removed from my message history.

As a last resort and to avoid any further financial exposure, I have been forced to close down the remainder of my busy summer period because I have not been paid for April guests and cannot afford to continue hosting without getting paid. I have a number of June and July bookings which I will have to honour at my own personal expense. I am very worried that booking.com might be in financial difficulty and maybe I will never get paid!!! The treatment of hosts who are owed money is so unfair. Still not paid my £XXXXX owed for April guests. I am sick to death of not getting any answers and spending hours waiting on phone.

As CEO you need to do something to ensure that the ordinary people, on low incomes hosting guest for your company get paid what is long overdue to them.

Hi we are still waiting for April’s payment as of the 15th June, we are getting the same run around as everyone else, I have written to the UK courts to see if I can take out a court reclaim action but I have not had a reply as yet

Hiding from a problem does not make it go away Ms. ***. Now take control and act appropriately to resolve this situation before these our mice like squeaks turn into a lion's roar.

Horrified that some have still not been paid for April.
My bookings are down and only getting one nighters (just Saturdays) and lots of voids! They took 9 days to pay me. When I do get bookings they double book me. Have had to vacate my own bedroom twice now for guests.
Not at all happy and thinking of selling up.
Have the media picked up on this yet?

BDC are a piece of work! Just had an invoice from them for one of the guests I had to cancel (with plenty of warning) due to their missing payment. £163.50! Something else to add to my small claim.

Thanks Skyline, Pete and anyone else for asking no funds here still waiting to hear from Gillian and had a ridiculous email from finance. Here is my reply to skim over to get the gist. Sorry for the delay in posting, trying desperately to get this sorted, ringing everyday and emailing whilst trying to keep my head above water.

This message is in response to your email sent on the 5th June at 1657 hrs.

I have spoken to my bank and there is no bank process in the world where a receiving bank can trace an incoming payment that hasn't been received - this is pretty elementary stuff!!!!

Looking at the document which I have re attached with comments (open comments) it appears that you do not have the complete BIC and IBAN NO.

These are the correct numbers:

BIC:TSBSGB2AXXX

IBAN:GB36TSBS77707500000595

On the 24th May you messaged me to advise that the second attempt had been rejected which would indicate that there is a problem and that you were going to reprocess the payment and since then I have heard nothing, apart from a rather insulting message on the 31st May 2019 referring to your original attempt to make a payment on the 7th May????? (which failed across the UK in a spectacular fashion – see below).

Blah blah blah

I demand to know why after 24 days of the payment of £XXXX not being received that you have not recalled and traced this latest payment attempt. There is obviously a problem on a epic scale with so many UK hosts still awaiting payment for the April reservations which were due on the 13th May 2019.

I would urgently advise that you STOP asking hosts to get in contact with their banks when it is clear that all the banks in the UK are not at fault and that this is BOOKING.COM’S complete failure.

Please advise to whom I address my court action proceedings. I appear to be getting nowhere with your companies sheer incompetence and I have lost complete confidence.

That's the address I used previously and will use again. I can't stress enough guys they'll make you go all the way - for ever one person that issues court proceedings another 10 won't bother. It's worth there while not to engage with us. We can keep each other informed on here or FB via the new chat site.

By keeping all your posts public. You are letting booking.com know what you are thinking and planning. 

Find somewhere to unite hosts away from booking.com

If a fb account request each member to answer questions and share their listing. Thats what airhostforum does, it tries to prevent airbnb staff joining. Keep it all private. 

Last year, there were payment issues all over Europe. So i would make it international. Booking and Expedia have bought out so many independent platforms, it is curtailing choices. 

None of them give a damn about a few hosts, but if you join up together you have a better stanze.

Be weary of people who set up fb groups who only joined the partner site a month ago. 

Need well seasoned host. 

Booking recommends the " partner" site here for first time users. Ask a question with experienced hosts. I used to be active last year but stopped when booking was using hosts kindness here as customer service for new hosts.

Hi Juliette.  Does that mean you've now had nothing for two whole months?  

Those of us with seasonal bookings find ourselves at a financial low point in Spring, having "lived off the fat" from the previous season through Winter.  Two months without payment at this time of year, holding back the crucial April/Easter money would be enough to push many businesses under for good.

What are BDC saying to you?

Hi Radar Kid and Skyline10,  I am still waiting for payment for both April and May reservations.  Someone is finally onto this and is taking charge and has called twice today.  Monday is D Day, the final day in which I have been assured I will receive my funds.  As you can imagine, I have everything crossed.

We host in Liverpool and we have not been paid for April 2019, same story as most others, a number of phone calls a emails but still no payment received as of 14th June 2019 they keep asking me to check with my bank which I have done three times, the problem is obviously at their end but they do not seem to want to resolve it
