Linen charge and credit card acceptance

Hi, I’m hoping that someone can help me with the following 2 issues:

1. I have added a linen charge (my aim was to reduce the amount of washing, drying and ironing I do LOL) which I wanted to make optional however it is automatically being charged to each guest. Does anyone know how I can make this optional ?

2. I would like to be able to accept credit cards both online with but also on the ground with face to face customers and other online booking sites. Can anyone please give me advice on how to do this and what my best options are. I have 2 Villas with a moderate income so price/cost  is important

Happy cleaning,

Deanne ?

Hi Driftwoodvillas257

Great Topic.

I am not sure how to do that within BDC system, but

Since I have a channel manager ( they are putting together all the different OTA's and calendars) for one unit (in your case they could for more than one unit) they arranged in their system money to be added or taken off of the total amount. I can even write down what it is for. If you are GST registered you could add that, and all is visible and clear.

This is super handy, say you would like to give a discount for whatever reason, or you have extra cost for anything, you just add it to the total.

A disadvantage is: payment has to be on the spot.

If your system allows for payment at time of booking then it must be clear what guests are paying for. Your request is a great idea. BDC may have it already but haven't seen it.

Help needed from more advanced hosts, please. Thank you guys!!

Dear Deanne,

With point no. 1 you cannot really do more than give a notice to the guests about it.

For point no. 2 I can help you with it. I provide consultancy services for hosts to implement more complex and ease of work system, we can find a great option for you to work with.

Message me through my website and let's talk about it.

Best regards,

Zsolt -
