No payout for June 2018. No replies from any department after multiple attempts

Is anyone else experiencing issues with being paid by booking.com this month(June2018) ? My bank details are correct and have received payments in the past without problem. I have attempted calling, emailing the financing department and senior customer service executives but have received no replies. I'm owed hundreds of euros from booking.com but all I get is reminders that my commission is overdue (the commission is automatically taken from the payout).

Any answer would be appreciated.

Hi DordogneMT,

Thank you for your post. We've been in touch with our Finance Team and they've shared this communication with us:

Dear Partner,

Due to a technical problem we have not been able to process bank transfer payout on time this month. If you have not received a monthly payout yet, it will reach your account before the end of this week.

There is no need to contact our Finance department or Customer Service to follow up.

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Booking.com Team

Thanks for your patience,

- Laura and the Communities Team

As a gesture of good faith for the partners who were relying on that money by the 15th as stated in the contract, will commission or a partial refund of the commission paid be returned to the partners affected? We don't have faster payments here in France so it could be well be the end of next week that I receive the balance owed.

Finally a reply but it's been changed from the 'end of this week' to 'as soon as possible'.

We are informed by our Finance Department that payouts are delayed this month. You can rest assured that payment is being processed and it'll be wired to you as soon as possible.

Rest assured this is not acceptable.

Hi Laura

I am also very worried about delayed payment. We are now nearly at the end of the week. Are payments being processed??

Thanks - Tania

So far nothing here in france. Where are you based Tania? Company line is 'end of the week' and that won't change until Monday morning.

Seems like uk partners were paid at the start of the week, lots of spanish partners before the 15th. Mine is usually in on the 7th so I queried it on the 13th and no replies of course. Seems like they are paying out drip by drip so it doesn't seem like a technical problem to me.

It's unreliable. I hope you are not exposed too much.

I was advised a couple of days ago that payment would be sent by the end of the week. This is now the end of the week right?

My exposure is in its 000s :-(

It's a mess. I'm no longer a 'partner'. It's bad enough the payments are late (breach of contract) but they knew payouts would be late and didn't show their partners the respect of a forewarning etc in case of financial penalties from banks etc. Whoever is in charge of communication must also be in charge of finance.

Booking keep our money for up to 6 weeks after the guest stayed, hopefully many people remove the option of payments by booking because it's not convenient, it's just giving a company a way of making extra income through interest, and then we have beg and worry to get the money we all worked hard for.

I hope we all get paid soon.

DordogneMT you are so right. It's bad enough that payments aren't sent out immediately upon guest's arrival like Airbnb. If booking.com is making money through interest whilst we are struggling to greet the next guest that is very very bad business practice. Very unprofessional too.

Very unprofessional when I'm being reminded my invoice for commission is overdue (it's automatically taken when the payout is made). At least they have their priorities. No doubt all of booking.com's customer service team were paid on time this month.

Fingers crossed we get our money this month. It's a red flag for me, hope you have no issues in the future with them.

I am the owner of apartment and I can not recieve my money from BOOKING also! The dont respect Contract, dates of payment (till 15 of July 2018) and ignore my letters, calls.Their Finance department did not contact me ( as they have promised to do).

Also they lie - I was said that my bank details are incorrect -even they are absolutely correct and I have confirmation of my bank about it!

I had already presented new information and my another bank detail - but BOOKING still did not pay me!

Dear Freinds in Misfortune, lets unit our efforts and lets find out how to act to recieve our fonds from crooks! We also have to share our reviews about BOOKING and to prevent other people to avoid to have any business with this dishonest company.

DordogneMT and Tania, you are right.I made business with Airbnb and they were always correct and on line.

I could not imagine tj have so many problems with BOOKING.My guest had paid all in May and I cant get anything till now. Also they are liers and have no respect to us.They charge so high for their comissions and send many letters only about their comissions -but where are our money?

What reputation do they want to have with clients?

If you think about it booking spends heavily on search engine placements so even if a guest searches for your property, their link appears before your own website does. We work hard for the guest, booking takes the guests' money, uses it to continue getting guests to book via their website by paying google, and then if they overspend, we the partners have to wait and hope we get what we are owed.

The cycle continues. There is no partnership. A person who works and doesn't get paid is either a volunteer or a slave. I am no volunteer.

Thankfully I am in the process of ending my partnership, am still waiting for my final payment and continue to fight to get my listing deleted as it currently reads 'no rooms available, book another property nearby'.

You're right DordogneMT

I sent 2 messages via Pulse and spoke to a rep in Italy about my delayed payout. She was very understanding about my irritation at not being served by booking.com and flagged my issue with other colleagues. She assured me that my money would be received by end of day.

If this doesn't happen I am delisting my 2 properties and concentrating on getting more Airbnb bookings, who settle payments the day after guests arrive.

My money isn't in and it's Friday so 'by the end of the week' hasn't been honored either. I received a message saying the payout was made on the 18th but booking.com's commission invoice still says 'unpaid' so I think the 18th doesn't hold much water. At least I'm not being given the line that my bank details are incorrect and that's what's causing the delay. We are the bricks upon which this company is built. booking.com does not own any hotels to my knowledge. Remove enough bricks and the inevitable happens.

DordogneMT I just received the funds :-)

I called the number listed in my extranet messages page at the the bottom right-hand corner. Maybe you should check what your contact number is and give them a piece of your mind as well.

Good luck!

I have a contact with a senior rep who is taking charge of it. Part of my refund was due to a guest arriving, wanting to cancel on arrival due to his own fault and didn't care for the cancellation policy The guest got the police involved saying I was a thief and he'd paid me (not booking.com) with his credit card. As it was midnight the police advised to pay the 'guest' in cash so he would go away and booking.com would sort it out of course. Of course booking.com didn't sort it, but after a lot of arguing they offered 20% of the reservation to cover the tax I had to pay on the reservation.

Then it turned out it was a 20% credit note against future commission.

That was the last straw for me and the late payment is the cherry on top!

Happy you got paid though, hopefully I'm next!

Apartma Aleks

I am writing from Slovenia. Our apartment is on booking.com since end of April 2015.Last year(2017) we decided for payout system via booking.com.It was going good until payout for September 2017,when we received payout only middle of November. We keep our apartment closed during the winter,so I wasn't suspicious.Apartment was activated 1st of April, had to wait to payout till end of May,payout for May went well, and now I am waiting for my money for June and July.It is end of August today and I am asking myself what will happen next month.A lot of messages were written,a ot of phonecalls made and nothing helps. They don't bother to answer anymore!

I have changed the payout system to cash only already and asked guests who booked for September to cancel their bookings with an explanation why.I don't know how they will react - hope they will book again and pay in cash.

I am done with booking.com - for next season we will be listed only on Airbnb.

ARE WE EVER GOING TO GET OUR MONEY?I have no idea what kind of measures should be used to get it.

I share everybody's worries!
