No show

 Hi,

We just joined to booking.com. But unfortunatelly first and second bookings were receive and guests did not come.

Is it enoght to click on "mark as no show" on next day after supposed arrival time? Is there require to make any additional movements to avoid penalties or commission claim requests by booking.com.

All best,

Qurbonali.

Why not take a payment from the guest's credit card when you receive the booking? We take 50% deposit as soon as we receive a booking (Booking.com sends us the card details) and if it declines, we mark it as invalid in the extranet and then after 24 hours if the guest has not updated the card details or paid us via other means, we can legally cancel the booking. We do have a cancellation policy in place, so if a guest legitimately cancels before the cancellation period kicks in, we just refund their credit card in full

to avoid commission claim by Booking.com, just mark as a no-show the morning after arrival and the booking will be cancelled and hence no commission will be charged
