Payment by virtual credit card.

This is hotel "Jūras Brīze". We have received  warning from our bank ( Luminor Bank AS ) that since 1st January 2021 manual charging credit cards will be prohibited to protect credit card users' interest. So, taking into account our bank policy we would like to inform, that since 1st January 2021 clients have to pay at the place themselves.

  1. That sounds like you are referring to charging of Guest CC remotely. In 2020 the international standard for doing so introduced a new feature. Whereby Guest gives you their details of card and you using a Payment Service Provider, bill it, then the Guest gets a notification on their smart phone , which they acknowledge, and the payment is authorised.  This is called S.C.A. Strong Customer Authentication.  
  2. There are several Payment Service Providers who will support this :
    1. ​​​​​​SUMPUP Virtual Terminal - Accept card payments over the phone | SumUp  
    2. SQUAREUP - Virtual Terminal | Process Payments on Your Computer | Square (  
    4. or others who operate for your region/country.  
  3. Switching to using one of those services means you can:
    1. In property > Policies, enable PrePament.  
    2. If enrolled in BdC Online Payments or Payments by Booking, deregister from those.  
  4. In some case for your location you might be better off using Payments By Booking.  Where are you based? I see nothing in your profile, add the - View My Listing link, as per the guide at bottom.  
  5. There is nothing to INFORM BdC of. you just setup for how you want payments, and alter your extranet settings yourself accordingly. Such as Auto Message Templatesm set policies correctly. You have the option of message or phone BdC support to guide you.

2) Select ‘ messages’.

3) Click on ‘See Contact Options’
