PAYMENTS FROM BOOKING.COM

SO ANGRY

You are told that payments would be made on or before 15th of the month, I am still waiting for the money to come into my account.I have tried phoning but after 32 mins of waiting gave up.

Despite the fact they can generate an invoice to you on the 3rd of the month. If this is the case why cant a payment go through at this time.

As a small business Direct Debits have now been taken today leaving me overdrawn.

Booking.com your service is shocking!!!

I am still waiting for payment, as you say payment by the 15th (15 July 2018). For what they charge in commission they should be on top of this. How can AirBnB payout 1 day after the guest arrives, never had a problem with airbnb payments. Booking.com you need to sort this out, we and other host rely on this money to pay bills and if it is not there we go overdrawn.

Bonsoir,

I am looking in to how I can increase my bookings with airbnb. Airbnb send payment to you 1 day after guests arrive, way better than waiting over a month on some payments. As previous host have said normally got paid out around the 12 of the month but that has increased to the 15 and now over the 15 the last couple of payments.

I get a few bookings from airbnb and I like the fact you get paid very quick, you can link the calenders so you don't get double booked and you can also turn on instant booking with airbnb, so no answering back and fourth with guests. I have just dropped my price on airbnb (a few days open) to get more bookings from them and got 2 bookings within 8 hours which I thought was pretty good and I only dropped the price by 6 euros per night.

I've not received payment either, granted this is the first time in my 14 months in business. I wouldnt mind so much if I wasnt relying on the payments to pay my bills. My bank account has now gone into the red! What angers me most of all is that booking.com have taken their commission. This is totally unacceptable and if it is not sorted out quickly and if all my costs arent reimbused, I will be taking legal action.

It makes no sense as AIRBNB is benefiting from Booking.coms ineffciency and attitude . I know that although I am rated in reviews in the top 30 out of 700 properties in my city , booking.com show me as rated overall as 233 ? As this impacts on bookers seeing my properties meaning less exposure ......it means less bookings from booking.com and increased % of bookings going to AIRBNB , last year 1% this year 23% so ......booking.com are shooting themselves in the foot with less commission it is not economic or sound business practice to loose ground to another booking agency but they simply wont listen to us as hosts . And AIRBNB pay you almost instantly the guests have completed their stay , not paid uptp 6 weeks later which gives interest to booking.com , surely we are entitled to be treated better ?

And only now do I get a email from booking.com to say they have had a problem with bank transfers and it should be in by the end of the week. So how about it booking.com, are you going to offer compensation for the people who rely on this money to pay bills who are now overdrawn?

Laura, Communi…

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your comments. We've been in touch with our Finance Team and they've shared this communication with us:

Dear Partner,

Due to a technical problem we have not been able to process bank transfer payout on time this month. If you have not received a monthly payout yet, it will reach your account before the end of this week.

There is no need to contact our Finance department or Customer Service to follow up.

Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Booking.com Team

Thanks for your patience,

- Laura and the Communities Team

Ok so I've been paid but my bank account still went into the red and I will incur charges. I am only a small business with 2 rooms so its a big problem if I dont get paid. We should have been informed about the problem before today and therefore trusting booking.com will reimburse any losses.

Booking.com should agree to pay host compensation or at least waive the commission they charge for this late payment.

I Contacted customer Services after trying to phone finance department for over 1 hour. Customer services could not tell me when the monies would be paid. However, i see that booking.com have issued a comment saying by the end of the week! Why did customer services not know about this? Why did no one send out an email relating to their problem? How are Booking. Com to to rectify their breech of contract as it clearly states that "You WILL be paid for this booking by the 15th of July." which they have failed to do. This is a major problem and financial implications are severe.

same here. I quit. They have failed with their promises, withdrawn offers citing hidden terms and conditions, located me in a different town and county, sent the info to all of their affiliates and refused to do anything but pass the buck. This is not how 'partners' should be treated. You don't help small businesses, you destroy them through incompetence and deception.

I still haven´t got any payments from booking.com. We have been getting customers who paid online and we are not able to charge virtual card. I have been writing e-mails and calling , speaking to some people who really do not help. One told me booking.com had nothing to do with this as it was the channel manager and when I asked about who I should contact, he said channel manager, not booking.com. This is not a good service I must say. We pay a lot of money to booking and they promptly send their invoices but it is impossible to get paid from customer paying online....what can I do?

So far I have received all except one on time when they had issues and everyone was late. So from what everyone is saying each country seems to be independent of the head entity when some countries partners are getting late payments and some on time. It is a bit of pain to wait I wish it could be improved so the payments are much quicker. The only way to opt out of it is you have to contact your local booking office as currently you can't cancel online.

I have to say it is better for me that guests pay when they book, at least I know I will get the money from booking.com albeit 30 odd days later. It does take the hassle out of it when dealing with direct payments from guests.

@Ryzalbasar I only accept payment via PayPal and I request Full payment upon booking once I have sent invoice. This way I get the money and then booking.com will invoice me for their commission. I am only new and have just had my first booking from booking.com. Most of my business comes from Airbnb and their payment methods to hosts is far superior.

@Donna Luxford, I have to agree with you on airbnb payments, they payout a day or 2 after the guests have arrived, depending on length of stay, have had no problems with airbnb but then I do get more bookings from booking.com. Booking.com just need to be more with the host and also stop anonymous reviews.

I am writing from South Africa. I am also battling to get timely payment from Booking.com. They say that they will pay around 6 weeks after the guest departs. This compares very poorly with SafariNow who pay within 5-8 business days. This makes an enormous difference, especially for small businesses. I recently completed a survey at Booking.com's request and rated then poorly on payment process and time to receive. For this and other reasons, I rated them much lower than I rated SafariNow.... and their reaction was to direct me to this site, which appears to be a waste of time based on other business owner comments above!!

Robboyd, afraid so (with booking.com) it's like pissing in the wind, no joy whatsoever.

I have 2 rooms and in one I have a booking for 28 nights from 12 Dec to
9 Jan. In the other I have a 5 night booking from 27 Dec to 1 Jan. So with the current payment system, that's 33 nights I will not see a penny for until around 14 Feb! Is this fair? I don't think so! That's income I could really do with just after Christmas. I admit that I like having the financial side of things done for me but when there's an overlap at the end of the month like this it's not funny. It's time b.com took a lesson from Airbnb regarding payments and the review system.

hi to booking.com and other partners,

I am new to booking.com - started in Sep18, with first guest arriving in mid october 18. I have received invoices for commission when guest has cancelled. As per cancellation policy, guest is required to pay. The guest credit card details are with booking.com and I have no access to charge the client for the reservation done and cancelled.

How will I get my payment?

Do I raise an invoice on booking.com?

When do I get payment?

Thanks

Hi Ganesh,
Send a message to booking. com via extranet, explaining the situation. Make sure you give them the customer booking reference number or it will be delayed. They should pay you what you're due as long as you're sure about the cancellation policy.
Hope it's sorted soon for you and all the best in your new venture.

Booking.com transfers payment through my bank account and have no problem. Two days ago they informed me by mail that on the 16th my account will be credited. Booking.com is always on time and very trustworthy.
