Payments for rental places in Cuba

Dear all,

Could anybody help me to get payments for the rent of apartments in Cuba which were previously processed through Smile Wallet? What alternatives are there which work? PayPal? Any virtual credit card, e.g. from the Fidor bank? Or can guest pay in cash upon arrival?

I would be very grateful if you could help me, as the money is currently stuck at booking.com

Best regards Christoph

Hi Christoph,

I do not know if it differs for your region but to me the simplest and quickest method is to goto Finance section on the dashboard https://admin.booking.com.

  • Enable Payments by Booking.com
  • Enter your local /national bank transfer information IBAN/BACS.

Set when you want to be paid weekly (every 9 days approx) or monthly (15th).

Kind regards

Hi Casa Azul del Malecón, welcome to the Community!

For our Partners in Cuba, there is another way to get paied.

You can manage your payments if have a payment processor / virtual terminal capable of charging virtual credit cards (POS). So, by joining Payments by Booking, we will process a Virtual Credit Card payout.

Bank Transfer are currently not available for this country. The only way for partners to receive payments is via VCC pay-out. Best of luck!

Dear all,

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, there seem to be various virtual credit cards which do not work (and I registered or one which - as it turns out now - only may be charged by bank transfers from a German bank account); as I am a resident of Germany, could you let me know which provider in europe or even Germany can handle the services? I am really desperate, as I cannot withdraw the money from booking.com so far.

Best regards Christoph

Dear all,

Thanks for your help; with the CVC Code I get I cannot charge directly my virtual credit card or bank account that I have, correct? So I understand that I need a PSO machine (formerly Smile Wallet in Argentina) to charge the money to the virtual credit card, I guess. But how does that work? Where do I get a PSO machine and what do you recommend? Sorry, this may sound stupid but so far the money is locked at booking.com

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Best regards Christoph
