Can you clarify if your payment is handled by booking.com? If yes, you will recv the cancellation fee the following month of the booking.
Also if the cancellation is due to the current covid19 situation you might want to consider not charging the cancellation fee as typically the guests would have had little or no control over this.

If booking.com handle your receipts/payment and you had a reservation with no cancellation, booking.com will have access to the guest credit card and you will get paid the cancellation fee in August20.
