Reservation cancelled by and credit card invalid

At the beginning of February I received a reservation for June.
The reservation was canceled by the guest after about a week.

According to my cancellation policy - I can charge the guest.When I try to charge the credit card I receive a refusal notice - "The card has passed the monthly credit".

This is the first time I've ever had such a thing, what am I supposed to do now?

Unfortunately you're out of pocket.

Use the invalid credit card feature and select "waive charges" on the cancellation. This tells BDC that you have gained no money and they, therefore, cannot charge you commission.

Alternatively you could take a chance and wait until the new month to try the card again. You could even try a smaller amount to gain at least something. Then show BDC what you were actually able to charge and they can charge commission on that amount.
