Taking payments

I am contemplating taking the payments for our bookings ourselves instead of facilitating our guests payments. Am just wondering at what time should I charge the guest. At time of booking or wait until the 7 days prior to arrival (As per our cancellation policy)

While those are the main 2 scenarios, consider the Cons of not taking prepayments for no shows, last minute.


I would reccommend take payment prepaid via one of:

  1. BdC Online Payments - free
  2. Payments by Booking - commission + payment gateway %
  3. Yourself via a payment gateway service:
    2. with
    3. any virtual terminal service from same providers or other. aka ePOS, can be in form of a smart phone app too

 Message or Call BdC PartnerSupport 


  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘ messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
