Tax issue

Many times guest ask to wave of taxes and we can't. Some guest cancelled the booking just because of taxes and booked another in front of us. We are loosing business. How to deal with this.

I would rather lose business than avoid tax and have to pay a fine!

Have you tried calculating your charges to include the tax bill? Guests come prepared to pay the bill quoted by Booking.com and any additional charges may throw may not be expected and may not be in their budget. If you can include it in the quoted rates, that may stop the cancellation. Anthea
