unpaid deposit

 customer has booked with me through booking.com. After repeated requests for 50% deposit - he has not paid.  i have made a request to booking.com to CANCEL THE BOOKING. I want to re-let my room .  

If the customer turns up on my doorstep - i will have to turn him away ....is this ok?
