VCC - how to charge if your bank doesn't accept them

I use Banco Sabadell here in Spain. I have a POS machine but they will only accept physical Credit or Debit card use.

I cannot charge any VCC using this machine, and this is Banco Sabadell's policy now.

Has anyone ever been able to get Booking.com to actually transfer this money to their account?  have been on the telephone with them for over an hour and all they wish to do it tell me how to use the POS. Which I obviously do know.

I am banging my head on the wall now, as they tell me to email instead of phoning.




You need to find a 3rd party service provider who operates in that country:


I dont know of specific company that do : but try :


izettle, sumup.com; square; payrexx (with stripe); etc.


a simple google for payment gateway provider spain , may find you a list.


Else you need to ask BdC to switch you form Online Payments to Payments By Booking and they pay into your bank.


VCC are limited to a merchant ID code

  1. In the extranet, go to the ‘Inbox’ tab.
  2. Select ‘Booking.com messages’.
  3. Right Pane - Click on ‘See Contact Options’
  4. Choose Account
  5. Now choose Other
  6. Then at bottom , See all contact options, and click Message or Call
  7. As there is no one number for all partners, the number for your nearest BdC Partner Support is then revealed.
