Guest book but don't check in.. Big problem for small BB S when allocating rooms
Some guests book multiple properties but choose only one to stay, the non booked property is kept booked till the last arrival day and guest don't bother to cancel it either.
This creates a headache to a property owner, one way to put up a no show when the guest don't check in, next is it prevents, another potential guest to book as the room is blocked in the system. When the payment is at check in, when the BB don't charge the guest at booking, it's to the benefit of the guest and we at the BB are at the losers end, bcoz of a guest who never bothers to cancel the booking, if they don't intend to stay
I see lot of bookings get cancelled, when guests take THE FREE CANCELLATION clause to their hands. I believe this way of promoting a BB /Hotel gives less reliance of Booking. Come
Compared with other sites, who charge at least some amount of the booking. So the guest has a duty to honor the BB reservation in a genuine way, rather than booking multiple hotels and wait till te last day to cancel or sometimes never bother to cancel either.
Booking. Com team, Pls implement a proper system to prevent such bogus bookings, as in time to come, many BB S Will put to go for more conformed booking engines, without the caption FREE cancellation, when guests take for granted and heywhey they book and cancel without any financial commitment to themselves or booking engine either.
Hope my request will be looked even in 2019 .
