Providing Emergency number

New to Booking.com so apologies if this post is 'repeat' .

I offer both keysafe option and if I'm around an open door with keys the room door , however, I would like to offer guests an emergency number, should I not be around and something goes wrong (power cut etc) now would I include this in the initial guest email I provide with check-in details or elsewhere ?

My other concern is guests using it as a 'tourist advice ' line and as I pay someone to come out could I if not an emergency call charge the guest ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Glenn,

Interesting question! It's a bit of a tough one if you don't want guests to use it for anything else other than emergency situations.

My suggestion would be placing it in the Fine Print on my property description? If Booking.com will allow it that is, I've never tried adding regulations like that to the fine print. Or perhaps sending the nr with the Information package that you send when the guest books.

Perhaps even print out and laminate a sign which you physically hang at the property?

Hope this helps, but I will be checking back to see if someone else maybe has better advise.

Keep well!

Hi Leandri,

Thank you for your comment .

Where exactly can I find the "fine print" in my property description please? I can't recall any of the registration allowing my to write anything other than email templates to guests ,thank again ,

Hi Scrat67 ,

Sorry for only reverting back now.

You go to your Extranet -> Property - View your descriptions.

The fine print will be waaay at the bottom.

Hope this helps!

Dear Scrat67 ,

What you could do and works best is to make a small plate that you can put near the electronic lock or entrance, outside, where the guests could see it and call the number if necessary.

Think of the way certain elevators have the emergency numbers, use that kind of display.

Sending messages, putting it in fine print might work but does anybody really read them? Because from my experience, 80% of people don't.

Best of luck,
