Cancelation due to a mayor problem

I have a question about cancellations to hosts that have already booked on my house.

Imagine that I have a problem at home as a crashed window or that hot water has messed up or bigger problems as gas leak. Obviously, I can't accept hosts until it is solved and maybe it can take one or two weeks.

If I have reservations for that days... How can I cancel the current reservations? Can I justify my problem to Booking and to guests until it is solved?
