Booking for 1person but they stayed with 2

We had a lastminute reservation for 1 person.

They arrived with two.

Very little, it would seem. I had a similar situation, although in my case a double room was booked for two persons and in the early hours they brought back a third person to share their room. I reported guests as a 'misconduct' to B.com who have notified me that they can only request that the guest pay an additional amount the hotel specify.. they cannot enforce additional payment.

I guess in my case it's a question of being more vigilant, and in yours, ensuring they make payment prior to accommodation access. We learn through our errors.
