Cancel a reservation

I'm new to booking.com and I need to cancel a reservation due to Covid.

Is it possible to do without penalty and how do I do this?

Simply deal directly with Guest.

 

  1. Open reservation details  
  2. Send Guest message - "Due to COVID!9, I have to cancel your booking until further notice of availability. The next email after this will be from the System asking you to confirm so that a full refund procedure can start. Thanks for your co-operation."  
  3. Now on same page click on Request To Cancel, and choose option 2. This will start the process, and continue once the guest clicks the link in the email notification it is going to send them.
