Dear Anne,

Best is to have non-refundable rates at a lower price than general rates. You can charge them when they book.

The other option is to have the 14 day or 7 day, depending on your lead time.

Also, you can ask for deposits, if that will work for you.

Hi Annem,

I work strictly on the non-refundable option because that why I can process payment and be done with the booking part. I did add a nice grace peroid for free cancellation, 24 hours. So that they can discuss with their family after they booked, and still cancel. This way I haven't gone through any effort and the guest doesn't have to contact me later to cancel etc etc.
