no phone number in info

Hello everyone. I listed my apartment on here, and i'm getting reservations without a phone number, even tough in my policies I have set that guest needs to provide a verified phone number too book. now i have three reservations where i have no way of contacting guest, except trough my extranet, but I don't get replies. I highly suspect those reservations are fake.

did enyone have a similair problem? I've contacted booking trough booking.com messages, but no reply whatsoever.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your struggles.

We have all had that yes, although Booking.com has a great system that verifies the numbers sometimes there is an odd one or two that slips through.

In my experience, if I phone Booking.com and ask them to try and give the client a call because I need to make payment arrangements then they do so. If they can't get hold of the guest sometimes they are willing to cancel the booking. (Esspecially if the credit card was marked as invalid).

Though, if you have the credit card payment only option selected, then it's not really neccessary to Phone the guest.

Thank you for your answer Leandri. I was just wondering, is it normal that i can't see the phone number in the reservation info. It was always there in the past reservations.

Sure!

No, I don't think it's normal at all. Maybe it's time to just go through your policies one more time to see if something didn't maybe go sideways. Ensure that it's definitely activated so that guests can't book without the number.

According to what I've experienced and my logic, a guest can't even make the booking without the number if that little No box is ticked.

Works for me.

I think I've set eveything up correctly. i've contacted Booking, but they don't answer at all. It's so frustrating.

I'm sorry, wish I could have solved this. All I can say is to Try Try again to contact Booking.com for help. Use the Feedback option, use the messages and email them.
