Setup problem

Hello, I can not change the rules of the extra bed. I have a double room with a double bed, suitable for 2 people. I would like to offer an extra bed for free up to the age of 6 and from the age of 6 at an additional fee per night. When I search for rooms, the moment I add a child over the age of 6 to the room, the result I get is that I have to order another room and the price is really high and keeps customers away. What am I not doing right? Thanks for the help

I wouldnt try to do it that way, just add it as a photo with text. add it to fineprint as option; add it into auto message for new reservation etc.
