On Extranet - click on Rates and Availability - Sync calendar is an option there

Hi 

 

Simply put Sync Calendar is a bad idea.

 

But depending on what you are REALLY trying to do in some scenarios it is ok to use.

 

So Please elaborate the actual scenario so I can then tailor my response to it, and it will make alot more sense.

what website exactly?

 

If you are using an independent website such as a single page with a BdC Booking button, or some 3rd party system , then in theory yes you could use the Sync option to setup the Export one way .

 

So long as the external website can trigger a pull action to force it to sync every 5 minutes you should be able to avoid overbooking.

it is not in the Calendar.  Under Rates & Availability there are about 10 menu options.  If you look at the list one of them is Sync Calendar.

Be do be careful as it is not Real time once set up

There is no such option "Sync Calendar" as you can see in screenshot. To display this option should it be activated from somewhere?

That's where it is on mine.  No wonder we were going round in circles.  Contact Help team and ask them to give you access to menu option.

  1. Simply put Sync Calendar is a bad idea. dont use it , dont relie on it. It will cause overbookings.  So not worth the stress and cost of relocation if a guest wont agree to change dates etc.  
  2. Sync Calendar is under the Room Type Name on List View.   
  3. If you increase room type inventory count to 2 or more the sync option will be removed.  
  4. The only safe way to manage 2 or more OTA listings is with a Channel Manager , e.g. nobeds, cloudbeds
