Additional charges
Hi everyone,
I have a linen charge of $10 per person per stay, which is not included in the booking price, is there any way that BDC can work out the extra charges (based on the numbers booked) and show the guests this amount. I've just lost a booking because I added extra prices onto the original price and I don't think the guest was impressed - although it does state extra charges in the description so she should be aware of this. Anyway, it does seem inconvenient as airbnb does this for you and adds all the charges beforehand and quotes to the customer so they know how much they have to pay when they book.
Thanks in advance for any tips/help,
Susan
Create a base rate with linen included, and extra charge for each person above.
For example 2 persons 50€, 3 persons 60€, 4 persons 70€,... (with linen included).
Not everyone are reading the descriptions and fine prints. Noone is impressed by the extra charges. Linen should be included.
How do I set this up? I have tried but not getting the result i need, please help
You mean how to set additonal charge for extra persons? I think in the calendar.. I was not able because I use Channel Manager. So I needed to contact booking.com and they activated this feature in my behalf.
Hi yes I do have a base rate which is displayed on the website
I can include the linen in the price but will have to increase the nightly rate.. I guess that would be my only option is BDC does not have this function.
Hi there,
Yes, Booking.com has added that feature specifically for such cases where people don't read the fine print. Just make sure it's still in the fine print though. And when you do contact the client after they booked, just advise them again.
I'm sure this will work though!
Best of luck.
Thanks Leandri. That is what I did the guest choose not to book after I told them the final price.
Hello again,
I see. So it's a bit difficult to anticipate how the guests will react. Then it'd be best to ensure they add it when they make the booking, I think it might be because some guests don't like surprise excess expenses.
Best of luck!
