Bad service from Booking.com employees

I was contacted by Booking.com to list my property on their service.  After 16 attempts to use their website to get my listing up and running, it continually failed.  I searched for a means to contact Booking.com support, but they hide all this information from us, the hosts, who generate their revenues.  After a Google search, I located an office phone number in San Francisco.  I called them and got the most ignorant and incompetent young person on the phone.  He admitted that Booking.com hires its software programmers from third word countries such as India, the company does not care about the website performance, and thus he was not surprised at all the problems I was experiencing trying to establish my booking.  He admitted that Booking.com's software engineers and programmers are so inept that they cannot program the website correctly in Internet Explorer.  Alas, after three months of this ridiculous goat rodeo, my listing is not even thru the set up process.

Is there someone in this forum that knows how to navigate around the inept employees of this company and get a listing established?  This is just a ridiculous and absolute mess and the employee attitudes certainly reflect this.

Joey,

You ask a tape recording of the Booking.com employee I spoke with, however, you request is illegal under state law unless both parties consent to being tape recorded. If there is a standing written permission from Booking.com pre-authorizing the tape recording of its employees, please forward that to me now.

The conversation I described with the Booking.com employee really happened. Since that conversation with their employee, nothing has been fixed and I have not heard from Booking.com on how they are going to get their problems fixed and get my listing up and running. Again, disappointing that Booking.com does not address their problems.

Can you please fix the problem which is why I wrote in on this forum? I thought you were here to fix these problems and not just shoot back a legally unqualified answer with respect to the tape recording of Booking.com's employees.

Joey,

You behavior and comments are horrifying, unprofessional and illegal.

First, you gave legal advice and it is obvious that you are not an attorney. It is against federal and state law for someone like you to engage in the unauthorized practice of law. Your illegal activity will not be tolerated.

Second, you instructed me to tape record Booking.com employees in violation of federal and state laws. Your criminal activity will not be tolerated.

Third, you used profanity against another host who simply asked a question. Unacceptable and unprofessional conduct.

Fourth, you never solved the problem which was the genesis of this conversation.

Hi Gigeconomyexpert,

I'm sorry to hear about your struggles with setting up your property. I hear, on the rumormill, that some countries have better assistance than others. Did you try and contact them using one of the numbers listed here: using this directory.

I'm also going to steer you towards your Account Manager, do you know what that is (as you are quite new)? Every area (they call it sector) has one person who is in charge of the properties located in the area. This person is called your account manager, and his/her name should be on your extranet with a Dedicated number for you to use. You can find this info here -> Booking.com extranet -> Inbox -> Booking.com messages -> Scroll down a bit, the name and number should be on your right. (Do this on a computer not on a pulse app). If you have no name there, that only means you have not been Assigned to the person, but the person is still responsible for you. So then you send them a message through the extranet asking them to assign you one.

I can just imagine that struggling this much is very discouraging, but when you eventually get everything set up correctly and the bookings starts flooding in... it will be worth it and you might not require customer service from Booking.com. So then bullet dodged!

Best of luck and I wish you all the best.
