Breakfast

I opened in July 2019, breakfast is included in the price.  I was updating my breakfast choices and it is now asking for me to input the price of meals when they are not included in the reservation price. Prices are per person, per day and must include any extra fees or taxes.  I do not have rooms without breakfast and I do not serve breakfast to people who are not guests.  Any help will be appreciated.

We do not offer a "cooked" breakfast to our guests; but only dry-packaged pastries, granola bars, coffee (using a 12-cup coffee maker with free ground coffee, sugars and creamer) and hot tea that are free in their downstairs guestroom suite.

The problem to include a "breakfast fee" with each paid reservation is guests feel forced to eat at your home each morning, when they might wish to explore nearby cafes for breakfast.

When each new group of guests check-in, you could ask which upcoming mornings they want to eat breakfast in your home?  Then, have them give you cash payment for the number of requested breakfasts.

I would not mix the breakfast fee with the guestroom fee.

Same here, Theresa.

It is hard to cater for people when there are so many different wishes and diets to cater for. Especially when you live far away from shops and stock up ones a week only.

I offer muesli with milk, or oats for porridge.

If people don't like that, they can get some yogurt that I provide.

Most guests bring their own food.

It is the cheapest option and the most simple one.

Mind you, a lot of guests don't even have breakfast. Just coffee.

You could make your coffee stand out by offering organic coffee, high-quality fair trade coffee, fresh coffee - decafe-coffee. And lots of different teas, of course. Guests love that.

I am sure you will have your own specialty corner to spoil your guests with home baked cookies .

Could you send a photo of that sometime?

Greetings,

Aaltje B.

Thank you both for your feedback, it is appreciated, I am happy with the breakfast I provide my guests. I need to know how to remove the choice of someone coming off the street for breakfast, it is asking me to input the price of meals when they are not included in the reservation price. Prices are per person, per day and must include any extra fees or taxes. My bed and breakfast price includes a full breakfast (continental, fruit, yoghurt, homemade bread, full English, fresh coffee etc),

You could offer breakfast as a separate option. Stay with or without breakfast.

Or offer a small breakfast and optional paid extra big breakfast with bacon ham etc.

These options are not given by BdC.

It would be good to have more options for BdC I think.

Greetings,
