Commission correct?

Hi. I have used other services than Booking so I have experience but new to booking. I was told I was going to pay 10% commission to booking which sounded good. Payout is very slow but okay. Now I just got an email saying how much I will be paid out and it turns out to be 17,01% which is insane. Is this correct?

As far as I see, there are no insurances for me, there is no way for me to deny guests. How can one charge this much in comparison to other sites for this?

The standard Booking.com commission fee is 15-20% depend on your hotel location etc. The best way to negotiate about your commission fees is by call Booking.com directly.
